  1. We'll try to familiarize ourselves with the mechanics of the final encounter in Spirit Vale, Sabetha the Saboteur. Since this is an introduction we cannot promise that we will clear the encounter, but we will at least be able to provide an overview of the mechanics and the opportunity to practice You don't need any prior experience with Sabetha to join. All mechanics will be explained during the raid. The introduction is primarily aimed at raiders, who have never tried this encounter before, but more experienced players are welcome as well I would not recommend this encounter, if you haven't already gathered some raid experience! Masteries: Updraft Use or Lean Techniques is required for damage dealers, but not for supporters/healers. Explosive Launch is useful for damage dealers, but not for supporters/healers and is not required. Rift Forger is useful, but not required. We will need: 2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity, either 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners, or 1 Harrier Druid for Might/Spirits/Spotter and 1 Berserker DPS with Banners/Empower Allies, 1-2 Healers any DPS Remarks: The raid starts at 19:00 CET. Two spots in the squad are reserved for the raid leader and their assistant, so don't be confused, if you see only eight signups in a raid tagged as "full"! If you have any questions before the raid, you can send me a private message or contact me via Discord!
  2. We are going to practice the mechanics of the first three encounters in Bastion of the Penitent: Cairn the Indomitable, Mursaat Overseer and Samarog. We will try to clear all three encounters, but success cannot be guaranteed This training is primarily aimed at raiders, who have already seen all three encounters before, but weren't yet able to beat them or believe that additional practice wouldn't hurt If you haven't tried any of them before, please read a guide or watch some videos, so that you know what to expect. Mechanics will be explained if necessary. Even though many raiders portrait Bastion of the Penitent as a nice and easy place to start with as a new raider, I would advice you to rather join an introduction, should this be your first raid ever Masteries: Glider Basics is required to get to the first encounter, you will not be able to participate without it. Rift Forger is useful, but not required. We will need: 2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners 2 Healers any DPS Remarks: The raid starts at 19:30 CET. Two spots in the squad are reserved for the raid leader and their assistant, so don't be confused, if you see only eight signups in a raid tagged as "full"! If you have any questions before the raid, you can send me a private message or contact me via Discord!
  3. Matthias Gabrel

CANCELLED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT SIGNUPS We are going to practice the mechanics of the final encounter in Salvation Pass, Matthias Gabrel. We will try to clear the encounter, but success cannot be guaranteed This training is primarily aimed at raiders, who have already seen this encounter before, but weren't yet able to beat it or believe that additional practice wouldn't hurt I would advise anyone that hasn't seen Matthias before to join an introduction first, as Matthias is not an encounter where you can pick up on the mechanics quickly. Matthias is a relatively difficult boss, which requires raiders to have a great deal of situational awareness. Because of this, I do not recommend this encounter if you haven't already gathered some raid experience at other encounters! Masteries: Forsaken Thicket Waters is recommended, but not required. We will need: 1-2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners 2-3 Healers any DPS Remarks: The raid starts at 19:00 CET. Two spots in the squad are reserved for the raid leader and their assistant, so don't be confused, if you see only eight signups in a raid tagged as "full"! If you have any questions before the raid, you can send me a private message or contact me via Discord!
  4. We'll try to familiarize ourselves with the mechanics of the first two encounters in Stronghold of the Faithful, Siege the Stronghold (better known as "Escort") and Keep Construct. Since this is an introduction we cannot promise that we will clear the Keep Construct encounter, but we will at least be able to provide an overview of the mechanics and the opportunity to practice You don't need any prior experience with either encounter to join. All mechanics will be explained during the raid. The introduction is primarily aimed at raiders, who have never tried Keep Construct before, but more experienced players are welcome as well Although Siege the Stronghold can be cleared with an inexperienced group, the same is not true for Keep Construct. Raiders need to be very comfortable with their classes and rotations, as Keep Construct requires a considerably higher damage output than most encounters. Additionally there are some very punishing awareness mechanisms in the encounter. That is why I would not recommend this raid for first-time raiders! Because the majority of damage to Keep Construct will be done in very short Burn Phases, power damage dealers are much more effective than condition damage dealers (this doesn't apply to Phalanx Strength Warriors!). We might take condition damage dealers to this introduction, as the aim is to familiarize ourselves with the mechanics and not necessarily to clear the encounter. However, if we have a choice between the two, we will rather take a power based damage dealer. Important! Keep Construct will follow the person with the highest toughness (the tank). The toughness of our tanks is usually around 1,400. If you have higher toughness than that and can absolutely not lower it, make sure to include that in your signup, so that our tank can prepare to increase their own toughness! Masteries: Bouncing Mushrooms and Ley Line Gliding are required for part of the group. Nuhoch Stealth Detection is recommended, but not required. We will need: 2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity (1 Tank) 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners (condition based is fine!) 2 Healers (1 pushing the Construct Core) 4 DPS (preferably power based) Remarks: The raid starts at 20:00 CET. We only take experienced tanks to our introductions to ensure that the group will get to see and practice as many of the phases and mechanics as possible. If you are interested in learning to tank, please contact a member of the Raid Team and we will see what we can do, but this is unfortunately not the right place for it. Two spots in the squad are reserved for the raid leader and their assistant, so don't be confused, if you see only eight signups in a raid tagged as "full"! If you have any questions before the raid, you can send me a private message or contact me via Discord!

  6. If you have never raided before, this is a good place to start at We'll try to familiarize ourselves with the mechanics of the first raid encounter, the Vale Guardian. Since this is an introduction we cannot promise that we will clear the encounter, but we will at least be able to provide some insight into what type of content to expect in raids. You don't need any prior experience with raids or the Vale Guardian to join! All mechanics will be explained during the raid. If you are unsure about your character's equipment, check out What kind of gear do I need before I can join raids? in our Q&A section Important! Vale Guardian will follow the person with the highest toughness (the tank). The toughness of our tanks is usually around 1,400. If you have higher toughness than that and can absolutely not lower it, make sure to include that in your signup, so that our tank can prepare to increase their own toughness! Masteries: Blazing Speed Mushrooms can be helpful, but is not required. We will need: 1-2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity (not necessarily a tank) 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners 2 Healers 1-2 Condition DPS 2-4 Power DPS Remarks: The raid starts at 20:00 CET. We only take experienced tanks to our introductions to ensure that the group will get to see and practice as many of the phases and mechanics as possible. If you are interested in learning to tank, please contact a member of the Raid Team and we will see what we can do, but this is unfortunately not the right place for it. 7. The new raid is happening! \o/ ...and we want to of course explore as much of it as we can! To give us all plenty of time, we will not schedule any regular raids for the entire week. Instead, we'll send in a team of brave explorers to scout the terrain and bring back as much intelligence as they can manage on what awaits us inside. If you want to be part of the company of pioneers, you can sign up to one of the expeditions we will be launching throughout the week. Don't be sad, however, if you aren't picked as a member of the team right at the start. As there tend to be loads of casualties in the course of all great explorations, we will need a lot of fresh adventurers to make up for the losses in between and you might get to join in later. If you don't feel confident or brave enough to join the explorers, or don't get a spot right away, you can still join in the HYPE by listening in on TeamSpeak and keeping up with their progress... and casualty reports. Or you can try to launch your own expedition with other adventurers you meet on TeamSpeak... no promises though, only very few raiders are brave enough to step into The Unknown. The Masterplan! (a.k.a. the Expedition Schedule) A list of all expeditions you can join can be found on our Raid Schedule, but here's an overview for your convenience Please read the raid description of at least one of them before signing up, though, as there is additional information contained! Tuesday 19:00 - 23:30 CET: New Raid HYPE! 00:00 - 03:00 CET: New Raid HYPE! EXTENDED Version Wednesday 16:00 - 19:30 CET: The Exploration Continues! 20:00 - 23:30 CET: The Exploration Continues! - Ever Onwards 00:00 - 03:00 CET: The Exploration Continues! - The Final Battle (of the day) Thursday 16:00 - 19:30 CET: Delving Deeper! 20:00 - 23:30 CET: Delving Even Deeper! 00:00 - 03:00 CET: Is there a bottom to this?!? We might add further explorations later that week. If you can't be there for the entire duration, you can sign up anyway! We might loose some players in between and will need to replace them, so it is good to know who to ask (And yes, we are aware that some of those raids are technically already on the next day. We just decided that for us the next day is after sleeping ) Join us on TeamSpeak! Even if you won't be able to participate, you are welcome to join the raid channel on TeamSpeak to listen in and to be available should a spot open up. However, as the participants need to concentrate on the raid, please do not interrupt, even if there is silence in the channel for a while. The active raid channel will be heavily moderated if necessary. We know it is normally considered polite to greet people or say your goodbyes when leaving, but in this case, please don't! We will also create a channel to hang out in with other raiders, so that you can share news or find some teammates to explore the new raid with on your own. Preparing for the Expedition! As most of us are going to devote our full attention to the new raid starting Tuesday evening, I am sure a lot of us would like to get the clearing of the "old" encounters for this week out of the way before that happens So at least for the people crazy enough to already start gaming in the early afternoon (like us), we've scheduled a special kill run here. Join us and lets wipe the floor with those pesky old-timers That's about it in regard to the plan! Don't forget to pack your warm underwear and chamomile tea, because it looks like it's gonna be cold and... Let's do this thing! \o/

    Viridian.6015 I'll be playing Dragonhunter DPS/Tank (Power)
  9. Is there a bottom to this?!?

Viridian.6015 Yep, I'll be depressed by this time.
  10. IMPORTANT! Please read the description! The new raid wing is finally happening and we want to of course explore as much of it as we can, so we'll be continuing on from where we left off at the end of the previous raid We have no clue what will be awaiting us, so we don't really know what we will need in terms of group composition and professions yet, and will therefore plan for the standard group setup. We might change this later, depending on what we discover. At the start, we'll be aiming for: 2 Chronomancers for Quickness/Alacrity, 1 Tank 2 Phalanx Strength Warriors for Might/Empower Allies/Banners 2-3 Healers any DPS How does this work? As we will be raiding for a very long time throughout greater parts of the week, we won't expect any raiders interested in taking part in the exploration to be available all that time. This of course means, that we will be forced to frequently look for new participants. Because of this, we will not process signups in the usual way. Instead, signing up to this raid simply signals availability and whenever we have an open spot, we'll message the signed up persons first, before looking in Discord or elsewhere. This means that raiders may get to participate for the entire duration, or for only a part of the time. When signing up, please include: As usual, your Guild Wars 2 account name, Your preferred character class and any others that you feel comfortable with (please, don't list classes you haven't raided with before!), Available times! For example, if you can't stay up that long, just write down the time you'd have to leave We will verify all signups. However, in case of this raid that does not automatically mean you have a spot. TeamSpeak: Even if you won't be able to participate, you are welcome to join the raid channel on TeamSpeak to listen in and to be available should a spot open up. However, as the participants need to concentrate on the raid, please do not interrupt, even if there is silence in the channel for a while.
