So I bet I am not the only one who is into photography, so here is a photography thread to post you photos in!
Ill start with a bunch of analog pictures, the black and white photo's are developed myself and all photos are scanned at home.

Open the Spoiler tag to see my pictures, so they don't take up tons of space if other people also post replies :)

Phtography! Yess!  Black and white isn't always my thing, but you did so incredibly well on the composition and lines in the photos that it works out just fine. And by just fine, i mean i really enjoy your photos! Well done!

What sort of camera did you use? The amount of noise is reminiscent of the 70's, it gives a feel of that some of the images are from then.

The way you use the Golden Grid (golden ratio? I mean the grid help you get when using a digital camera) is magnificent. Every important thing htat draws the attentio nof the eyes is always placed on one of those spots where the lines intersect. My partner has a similar style of photography, where city architecture and lines are the main focus of the image.

Alright, since the photographers here are sharing their images, I don't want to feel left out :D

For the record, I am a freelance Travel Photographer (yes, my full time job). I travel often (around every 2 months) for assignments with clients or tourism boards, and I also lead workshops in many different countries.

I do a bit of everything, as long as it relates to the essence of a place, and its culture.

I am of course on every social media platform possible, so if you want to follow, just ask.

PS: The last image is the beautiful city of Granada in Spain, where I live.

All of these images are shot with analog cameras, so it makes sense that they give that old-photo-feel. I used a Yashica Electro 35 GTN, Bessaflex with a Voigtländer 40mm f/2 SL lens and a Minolta Dynax 8000i with a 18-35mm. Lately I only use the Bessaflex. Most of the black and white is shot on Ilford HP5+ (ISO 400 but can ez pz be pushed to 800 or even 1600) or Ilford Pan F (ISO 50), always developed in rodinal using stand development. For colour film I almost always use Fuji 400H, the cows were actually shot with a cheap superia 400 if I recall correctly, however 80% of what I shoot is in b&w. If anyone, has any questions about developing or printing your own black and white photos, send me a message (here, TS or in-game) and I'd love to help you out, or even get you started.

Your concert and event photography looks great! I tried it myself but I found it quite difficult. You have some shots in there that show great emotion!

That sounds like a dream job! I can definitely see that you are a professional, amazing composition and great use of colours. Some of these images feel very lively and like they tell a whole story, I am very impressed!

So I also made some photos lately and I quite like them. Do not judge me too hard, I am quite a newbie and I still needed a hand with editing them a bit ?

I really enjoy the composition in these, you did well on getting the feel for where things should be in a photo! The editing is good, though I find the photos to be a bit bright. Have you familiarized yourself with ISO settings? They are life or death when it comes to sunny days ?

Editing takes time though and that's why I have yet to post my photos here. They need editing before I can show them off ?

Well, thank you. To be honest it's one of the first times I tried to make photos with a bit of thinking and trying to not be ashamed of stopping everywhere with the camera pointed to something.

Yes, I got familiarized with those settings, however I had still no idea what I was doing for most of the times and my photos were either overexposed or basically too dark. I think I just need more practice and trying to fool around with the settings a bit more. Still, those photos were relatively not bad on exposure, I had worse ones that even where the composition was good, it was definitely looking too damn bright.

Also, I was not doing the editing ? I was just watching and learning mostly.

I do like the bright and ethereal feel of some of the images Vill.

But like Luna said, processing is also an important part of the photography process and although I don't think many of the images you showed need adjustments, some do need their highlights toned down, like the one below the pier.

Do you shoot in jpeg?

I also just like that everyone has a different style and vision. Keep 'em coming!

Yeah, I think next time will be better, when I kinda know a bit what to look for and what to pay attention to.

Yes, unfortunately this photos were made in .jpeg, which I know is absolutely not good format (I was doing image processing as a part of my thesis, which makes me quite ashamed for using this ?). Right now I am looking to buy myself new digital camera that will not be too complicated but will give me a little bit of space to improve my skills over time and adjust it for my needs. Right now I am thinking about buying Sony Alpha a6000, but I am still not quite sure what to pick.
