Tried raid for the first time yesterday with my power necro and after some very good advice from guildies about changing gear and traits for raid I kinda started to get the hang of it. I did die 189173264 million times but eh, you live and you learn (or die trying and learn anyway).

Hey Everyone

My name is Nana and I am more or less a DV newbie, I joined in February after I accidentally ended up on a OC TT map, besides being a DV newbie I am a GW2 newbie in general. I think I did fractals like twice so I'm getting the hang of those slowly, I do know some dungeons really well like TA and CoF but never touched CoE or Arah other than story mode. I entered WvW like 5 times, can't really understand where everyone keeps running around and killing stuff so I can't say that I like it much, up until recently I didn't go much on expansion maps I used to die within the first 5 minutes of walking through Verdan Brink until I got the importance of a good build and good runes  I started crafting Nevermore which is a legendary weapon I really fell in love with and that kinda takes up all of my time in game. (can't blame me, it's a pretty sweet staff) I can say this that starting the first collection for Nevermore really got me out of my comfort zone and got me to do more of HoT maps and events and masteries and I started to enjoy them as opposed to being slightly overwhelmed by them so I appreciate that. All I can say is that everyday I discover new things about the game which is pretty exciting and gets me even more hooked.

Not the biggest connoisseur of anime but I can 100% recommend Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, it's a full movie not a series but the animation is absolutely breathtaking and the story is pretty cool too, I read the manga/novels as well and there's a lot more to it  It honestly has some of the best animated scenes I have ever seen.

There is also Hellsing as a series which is pretty good both the classic anime and the OVAs, Alucard made for a pretty interesting character and while the animation wasn't that complex in the classic anime the story and music save alot. The OVAs are pretty gory so I don't know if there are many people that like that kind of stuff but it's really well done and creative.

As mangas I haven't read some in a loooong while but I used to be a big Shintaro Kago fan he has these really surrealistic gorey type stories that really make you think about things and the details he gives to his drawings make you really look at the art not just the story. I don't know if I would recommend him per say because people tend to get squeamish at the details he gives with the gore but he is a really good artist that shouldn't be overlooked.

So, Isadora Miau came by in a strange way. It's a combination of dancer Isadora Duncan and a character from an italian movie Le Streghe from the 60's which is made of a combination of short movies. The character I liked most came from the short by Pasolini and she was a green haired lady who married a weird little man who had the last name Miao which sort of sounds like "miau/meow" the sound cats usually make.

Idk, I just thought it made for a cute name

I ended up doing some fractals today with some of you and it was really intense and fun and I died....a lot :)) but hey, all for the sake of experience ! Can't wait to do it again  

And about the PvP....I'll just wait a little longer till I get all the good gear and decide on some stats and a good build.

Hey there everyone ^^

Guess I should say a little something about me. My name is Nana and GW2 is the first MMO I ever played. I only ever played PvE with some of my friends, finished the personal story with Zaithan and what not. I did do some dungeons and that was loads of fun I'd like to do more. I do have the expansion and tried to do some map completion with someone else but soon realized that maybe you need more than 2 people to have a smooth ride through HoT. I am completely terrified of PvP(silly) although I know I'll have to go there eventually for achievements and who knows ? Maybe I'll like it. Overall I'm basically a newbie  Nice to meet u guys!
