Time: 19:20 UTC, 21:20 CEST TeamSpeak: Required The Three-Headed Great Jungle Wurm terrorizes the jungle! But we're ready to terrorize it back! The Vigil Crusaders are ready and waiting for the armies of Tyrian heroes to march into the Wurm's domain and slay the giant creature. The Triple Trouble event is a fast-paced, high-intensity event where three teams must coordinate their efforts to slay the three heads of the Wurm at the same time. Due to the large number of split-second decisions, TeamSpeak is required. No experience with the event is required, all tactics & mechanics are explained beforehand.

Hey folks! The community weekend is fast approaching, so let's dive right into what's going to be happening at this year's event! So what is the Community Weekend? The Community Weekend celebration is a two-day event packed extravaganza of crazy, fun events, challenges, competitions, and some good old fashioned world boss slaying! All regularly scheduled events are off for the two days, and are instead replaced with Scavenger Hunts, Hide & Seek, Fashion Wars, and more! When/where does it happen? The event happens on the 23rd and 24th of July, Saturday & Sunday! We start at 13:00 CEST with the classic Triple Trouble, and continue from there! You can join us at any time during the day, hop onto our TeamSpeak (ts.theopencommunity.org) and join in with the fun! The even is held on our TeamSpeak, with individual events sometimes being led in-game in Guild Wars 2, or out of game. What kind of events are there? Are there any requirements to join? Will there be prizes? There are all kinds of events happening (see full schedule below). We do our best to serve a mixed bag of all sorts of events, so that everyone gets to participate in something fun! We plan out the events so that they require minimal amounts of world exploration, setting locations in Lion's Arch or racial capitals, or areas adjacent to those! Coming on a level 80 character is recommended, but for most events it is not required! And yes! There will be prizes! Lots and lots of shiny prizes! Additionally, we have Challengenauts, which is an Awesomenauts event outside of Guild Wars 2! Are there any forum-based events as well? Yes! We are going to hold a screenshot competition throughout the entire weekend! Best screenshot taken at any of the weekend events wins! Before the events start, we'll open a thread where people can share their screenshots! The contest will close at the end of the month, a week after the Community Weekend, so that everyone has time to go through their screenshots and find the best one! Soon after, the winner will be announced! So what's the event schedule? Here is the full event schedule. More information on individual events can be found below. (Times are in CEST [UTC+2]) Saturday (23rd of July) 13:00 - Gathering starts 14:00 - Triple Trouble 15:15 - Hide and Seek 17:00 - Belcher's Bluff Contest 18:00 - Protect the Quaggans! 18:00 - Challengenauts! 6. War for the Overworld! This game is SO good and so massively under-appreciated! If you loved Dungeon Keeper (2), you will love this game. Gameplay-wise, it is essentially Dungeon Keeper 3 For those unfamiliar with DK2 - War for the Overworld is a god game RTS, where you play the bad guy! The campaign is really nice and diverse, and makes for around 50 or so gameplay hours, it also has a nice sandbox dungeon builder AND multiplayer support. This is definitely a fun game worth the puchase! Check it out on Steam, where you can get it for 28€ when there isn't a sale on.
  7. Moderation: I moved your post into the GW2 section ^^ Moderation 2: Moving it to the brand new RAID section!
  8. Ah! Finally! People can see my sexy Ritualist. Lelling - Lelling.6795 - Rys Naviir (at least I think that's his name. I'll let you know if it isn't) (updated)
  9. YaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS
  10. Update: I managed to get a claim on the Abbasid Empire (the largest existing empire), and after waiting patiently, they had some internal instability, so I invaded them. Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn However, the succession laws of the Empires are different (in the previously Abbasid Empire, women cannot inherit, and inheritance is Gavelkind rather than Primogeniture), which means when I die, my direct heir may not inherit it, so I must work to change the laws before I die
  11. It thought I'd start a thread about everyone's favorite familicide simulator. People in this game always get up to all sorts of shenanigans (as evidenced by the existence of this reddit) so I thought it'd be nice for people to share their cool / silly stuff. I've not managed to bug anything crazy yet myself (no pregnant kings here), BUT I was quite proud of one of my daughters in this game and thought I'd share She was the marshal of her father's empire for most of her life, and by the time he died, so did all of her brothers who were eligible for the crown. As Empress, she continued having the highest martial score in the realm, and fought numerous holy wars against the Abbasids and various Indian rulers. While not managing to conquer Jerusalem, she did conquer Sinai and cut off Egypt from the Abbasid Empire, causing an independence war which left both enemies weakened. She died in the year 1124 at age 70, ruling for relatively short amount of time - only 23 years, during which time she expanded the territories of the realm more than any ruler before her, and twice the amount of her father who ruled for 58 years. 118 years later, her great great grandson managed to fully retake all of Jerusalem from the Abbasids, restoring Israel in 1242. Oh, also, the son of the guy who restored Israel has a weak claim on the Abbasid Empire, so things are about to get interesting
  12. I took a few screenshots as well <3
  13. I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped coordinate the event and to everyone who attended, this was by far our biggest and most successful event !
  14. And that was just ONE of the maps!
  15. Hellooo ^^ Welcome to the family! If you want, you should make a post in the guilds section of our forums to describe your guild a little bit better ^^ you can see the DV post as an example, or read this helpful post. :3

Hey folks! As part of Pride Month, I am excited to announce that this year, we will be hosting and organising an in-game pride march on June 26th at 6 PM CEST (that's 4 PM UTC/ server time)! Here's a copy of the description from the NA post (with times & descriptions adjusted for EU): ~ Citizens of Tyria! You are invited to join us in celebrating Pride March Tyria this June 26 at 6 PM CEST. We march primarily to show our support for gender and sexual minority players, some of which have found Guild Wars 2 to be one of a few safe places to simply be themselves and get away from the drama and the politics of the outside world. Allies and proponents of equality for all are especially welcome to attend as are those who are members of LGBTQIA+ communities! The march route will be starting in the center of Ebonhawke and proceed until it reaches the steps of Rata Sum. Please refer to included map for specifics: As real life comes first we’ll understand if players will only be stopping by for a short section of the approximately two and a half hour tour. Also for those for whom the above-mentioned time is inconvenient, we’ll be glad for those who want to volunteer to lead other groups whenever is most convenient for them as we want this message of support to reach as many as possible regardless of personal time constraints. Thank you for your time. ~ When do we meet? Commanders & organizers will begin gathering at 5 PM CEST, so you should already be able to reach us one hour in advance. You can contact us in-game, or join us on TeamSpeak (ts.theopencommunity.org) Where do we meet? Ebonhawke! If you don't have explored yet, do not worry! You can reach Ebonhawke through a portal in Divinity's Reach, so we will also have a commander showing people the way through DR if needed. How do we get on the same instance of the map? We will be using TeamSpeak to taxi people onto the same map via squadjoins. If you don't wish to join us on TeamSpeak, you can whisper one of the people on the contact list below and they'll help you join the correct map in-game. TeamSpeak address: ts.theopencommunity.org, no password, no voice requirement, no shenanigans What do I bring? You don't have to bring anything! But, party boxes, kites, transformations, fireworks, and other fun things of all kinds are of course welcome! If you wish to dye your armor in the traditional pride flag colours, that's also a fun way to express support! A Guild Wars 2 player from Orlando, Florida, has suggested that those who wish to show support to the brothers and sisters we have lost in Pulse earlier this week can dye their armour in purple and gold - Orlando's soccer team colours. Who can I contact about this? @Lelling - (Lelling.6795) @Jade Anabelle - (Jade Anabelle Woods.2549) @Renaissance Wrath - (Madugal.1087) @britxh - (Britxh.5017) @Dav - (Davin.5784) @Keroak - (Keroak.5192) [for Spanish speakers] If you would like to help organize this event, please let me know by contacting me in-game, on the forums, or by replying to this thread! Please be aware that we are marching in the name of unity and acceptance. Any attacks on specific minorities, ethnic groups, religions, are not welcome at this event. This is also not a platform for political or religious debate. There are plenty of other places and times that are appropriate to start conversations regarding politics, policies, or religion.
  19. Also update - added all our recent volunteers ^^
