  1. Hello, Dav here, requesting access again xD Disc name; Dav (Clint#3862) Lelling: Confirmed
  2. Hello everyone, Back on my guild's old forums we had a section dedicated to letting people know how their characters came about. For example; detailing their lineage from GW1 to GW2, inheriting a legacy, or even being immortal... Or if you're completely new to GW2, where did you get the inspiration for your character? What's his/her story? Below is how I imagined my character coming from GW1 to GW2. I hope you enjoy it! Looking forward to reading your stories too! --- I was only 17 years old when I climbed the pass to Shing Jea Monastery from the harbor. The year was 1068 AE. The Tengu Wars were still in full swing. Master Togo was away from the monastery trying to negotiate the peace treaty that would eventually make him a hero of Cantha. He was one of my finest mentors. His ability to bring out the best in his students and to remain diplomatic in such trying times made his final sacrifice all the more unbearable. I came to the monastery seeking adventure. I wanted to be a warrior, to learn to fight against the enemies of Cantha, but with my lack of muscle and affinity for books and scrolls, it soon became clear that my path lay down a more arcane route and so it was that I became an Elementalist. Three short years later, which seemed like a lifetime of studying to me, the Tengu Wars were over and Master Togo was back overseeing the training of the students at Shing Jea. I was quickly becoming a powerful elementalist and Master Togo took note of me. Less than a year later I had distinguished myself as an extraordinary student and Master Togo selected me and another student to accompany him to the minister's estate... and that's where my adventure began at the young age of 21. I won't bore you with all of the details between that fateful day at the minister's and today, but suffice it to say I have travelled the world from Shing Jea to the Echovald Forest. I have walked upon the Jade Sea and tread the tropics in Istan, Kourna, and Vabbi. I have seen the lush forests of Kryta and the ruins of Ascalon. The deep jungles of Maguuma and the highest peaks of the Shiverpeaks are even known to me. At times I was even called to delve into places where my nightmares became reality in the Realm of Torment, the Underworld, and the Fissure of Woe. I have faced many foes along the way from an insane undead Lich to a mad god, and the general of an elder dragon. I have also had the opportunity to meet the Emperors, Kings and Queens of the world. All while witnessing great feats of strength, courage and dedication from some of the most unsuspecting folk. I have lived a full life and I am content knowing that I helped our world be at peace for a time by facing those monsters. By assisting the Shining Blade restore Queen Salma and helping the Ministry of Purity cleanse Cantha, my home, from the Afflicted, we now enter an era of recooperation where the ties we’ve created will help Tyria heal. It’s hard to believe that it has only been 12 years since I climbed the pass to the monastery. I am almost 30 years old now but I feel the weight of many lives on my shoulders. If you were to look into my eyes you would see an old soul staring back at you. You may even wonder if all the tales are true, did I really do all of the things they said I have? It is with that knowledge that I remember the words of a wise old centaur, Ventari, "I had a home once, before this one, where I attempted to reconcile the differences between your people and my own. But Centaurs are a proud race, fiery with passion and conviction. They would not see humans as their equals. Against the odds, they fought. The humans rose to crush them. War consumed those lands...and my home with it. I made my way here to start anew." While not completely the same as the centaur, I’m sure you can understand the appeal those words had to me. I was raised to hate the Tengu, to fight against them and when that was taken away from me I had a second chance for adventure. I was drawn into the conflict against the Afflicted not only because I was there when it started, but because I craved the adventure. I craved a purpose. Working alongside Talon Silverwing taught me to respect the Tengu as we fought against our common enemy. I have found though, that it is not only the Centaurs that are a proud race, but all the races of Tyria. We have all fought battles against each other and against the forces of evil. We have won and we have lost. War has consumed much of our world. And so I feel drawn to Arbor Bay again by the urge to start anew. I want to spend the rest of my days in peace. Although it's only been a few years since I found Ventari in Arbor Bay, it still feels like a lifetime since I was there and laid eyes on it. A lifetime since I felt the stirring deep inside my soul, since I felt the calling of this place... and as I enter the grove, alone and tired I hear an old familiar voice call out to me, "Ah, I remember you, do I not, Davin Cassidy?" I look around and see the old centaur look up from his gardening with a smile on his face and before I can answer he speaks again, "I always knew you would return." I know that Ventari is wise beyond any mortal creature, but still, I had felt the pull of destiny calling me here. With that in mind I know that it isn’t a coincidence that I’ve returned yet I feel no danger here and so I reply jokingly, "How could you have known? I have encountered death at almost every turn recently and could have been sitting at Grenth's doorstep for all you knew." "Oh, I had a dream that you would return, that you would return after the troubles of the world were no longer your concern. When you were ready," he says with a small smirk. "When I was ready for what?" I ask. "Ready to help me tend the tree within the garden and to be at peace." "I suppose there is no need for me to ask if I can stay then, is there?" Still smirking he answers, "No my friend, there is no need, this is a refuge from the world and you may rest here. No harm or woes will come your way. Though other adventurers like yourself my arrive from time to time to help us also and they too shall be welcome." "You are a strange centaur Ventari, a strange one indeed." "Ha! And you are a strange man, chatting with a centaur coming to help tend his tree and garden. But enough of this, rest beneath the tree for a while, we can speak more when you wake." "That sounds like a wonderful idea, I am quite tired after the journey here," I say. And so it was that I lay down beneath the tree, closed my eyes and drifted into a deep sleep. There I dreamt a most vivid dream of a vast consciousness and began to remember things I did not know in my waking life, things that I knew hadn’t happened yet, but had already come to pass. When I awoke, it was to a different world than what I had known, to a different time and a different life. My old memories are what seem to be a dream now, one I'm not sure is real, one I can barely recall for I have awoken from the Dream of Dreams and am no longer human, but Sylvari and my name is Davolorin.
  3. I really enjoy the "One For All" game mode. It's so freakin confusing I'm on EUW. Lately I've been really enjoying Karma, mid lane. I also really like playing Fiddle jgl, Vel'koz / Xerath / Cassi mid, but I gotta say Panda Annie in ARAM is my ultimate fave.

I still don't see that class. The only classes available according to https://www.blackdesertonline.com/game/ are Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress, Berserker, Valkyrie and Witch/Wizard. I hope it's there for you at launch tho! If you want to give input for the Black Desert part of the meeting, since it concerns you, I think you can attend it too. If you can't or aren't allowed, we'll post about it afterwards before head start tomorrow.

Is that a sub-class of Ranger? In the classes page I don't see Tamer as one of the options yet. I also don't see Ninja or Blader/Plum. I think I'm going to go with Wizard.
