  1. I have to say you might want to take a look into my posts if you think this one is long.. ;P So don't worry at all, it isn't! Either way welcome to the Forums Ssach! Also good luck in your road of becoming a commander, I'm sure you'll do fine. ^^ It's not like all of us need to be super talky anyway, everyone's ears would explode.

  2. This is the very basic all-around PvE damage spec for Warriors. In addition to dealing damage itself, this build build brings party wide might stacking and buffs via banners and EA (Empower Allies). This build requires the Berserker specialization, however there's also a usable (a bit weaker) version of the build without the specialization, which will be mentioned inn the end of this Guide. This build is valid also in the current Raid content.

    Equipment

Full Berserker's gear (Power/Precision/Ferocity), ascended stat combination name is [Zojja's.. ]

Berserker's accessories, rings, neck and backpiece

    Berserker's Staff

[For min-maxing critical chance instead use 2 Assassin's Accessories (Arah & Caudecus' manor collections or Raids)]

    Main set: Berserker's Greatsword

For offset: Berserker's Sword / Warhorn (for mobility and 1x blast-finisher), Mace / Shield or a second Mace (for crowd control), Axe / Mace (for stacking Vulnerability), Longbow (for ranged dps)

    Runes / Sigils

Armor: [Superior Rune of the Strength] x6

(IF your group has a Revenant to deal with the might stacking and boon duration, you can also run with [Superior Rune of the Scholar] x6)

Greatsword: [Superior Sigil of Force] & [Superior Sigil of Air]

Off-set weapon(s): [Superior Sigil of Force] & [Superior Sigil of Strength]

    Traits

    berserkertraits.png

1st line: Strength: Restorative Strength , Forceful Greatsword , Berserker's Power

2nd line: Tactics: Empowered , Empower Allies , Phalanx Strength

3rd line: Berserker: Smash Brawler , Blood Reaction , Bloody Roar

    Utility Skills

    berserkerskills.png

Healing Skill (6): Healing Signet. Situationally: Defiant Stance, Blood Reckoning (dps increase)

Open Utility Skills (7,8,9): Banner of Strength, Banner of Discipline, Signet of Fury

Elite Skill: Headbutt. Situationally: Battle Standard (for Triple Trouble) or Signet of Rage (simply for swiftness up-time and mobility)

    Food & Consumables

[Plate of Truffle Steak] (+100 Power, +70 Precision)

[Superior Sharpening Stone] (+Power equal of 6 % of your Toughness, +Power equal of 4 % of your Vitality)

    Practice

Basic Skill rotation: Drop Banners (6, 7) -> Getting in combat -> Headbutt (Elite) [Signet of Fury (9) during TT, or if your Headbutt misses] -> Activate Berserker (F2) -> Arc Divider (Berserker F1) -> Double Dodge (your dodge deals damage) -> Hundred Blades (2) -> Whirlwind Attack (3) -> Blade Trail (4) [make sure it hits on its' way back too] -> Rush (5)

During normal dps there's no reason for you to switch out of Greatsword!

    Skill priority:

    Arc Divider (Berserker F1) > Hundred Blades (2) > Whirlwind Attack (3) > Blade Trail (4), Rush (5) > Dodge > Auto attack (1)

Warrior DPS rotation is different than most of the DPS rotations since you want to try to avoid auto-attacking like a plague. All of your skills (including DODGE!!) deal more damage than your auto-attack.

Use your Headbutt (Elite) [Signet of Fury during TT, or if your Headbutt misses] to refill your Adrenaline when out of Berserker (F2) form.

Attributes (if you want to compare yours for example)

     berserkerattributes.png

This is what your Attributes should look like with otherwise Ascended Berserker's gear, but with the two Assassin's pieces (this is the min-maxing mentioned before, full Berserker's works as well).

PS Warrior build without the Berserker elite specialization (=without HoT)

This build works essentially the same as the one with the specialization (for Equipment/Runes/Sigils, check from above [just ignore the min-max assassin's bit and go full berserker's gear]), only with the difference of not having the Berserker form or Headbutt (Elite). Instead use the Arms traitline, take Signet of Rage (Elite) and use it on cooldown when in combat, for Might and Fury. The burst skill Arcing Slice (F1, with 3 adrenaline bars) still holds highest dps skill priority.

    warriortraitskills.png

Healing Skill (6): Healing Signet, Open Utility Skills (7,8,9): Banner of Strength, Banner of Discipline, Signet of Fury, Elite Skill: Signet of Rage (for normal DPS rotation) or Battle Standard (for Triple Trouble).

    Traits:

1st line: Strength: Restorative Strength , Forceful Greatsword , Berserker's Power

2nd line: Tactics: Empowered , Empower Allies , Phalanx Strength

3rd line: Arms: Signet Mastery , Deep Strike , Furious

Hope this was useful for you! And thanks to Akke.8502 for providing pictures and information! :) You can also contact him in-game for any questions about this spec.

  3. This is the very basic all-around PvE damage spec for Thieves. It doesn't require the Daredevil specialization so you can use this one even if you haven't purchased Heart of Thorns. This build is valid also in the current Raid content.

    Equipment

Full Berserker's gear (Power/Precision/Ferocity), ascended stat combination name is [Zojja's.. ]

Berserker's accessories, rings, neck and backpiece

    Berserker's Dagger (main-hand), Berserker Dagger (off-hand)

For offset: Short Bow (for might/stealth stacking, mobility), Pistol/Pistol (for ranged damage)

    Runes / Sigils

Armor: [Superior Rune of the Scholar] x6

Weapons: [Superior Sigil of Force] & [Superior Sigil of Air]

    Traits

    thieftraits.png

1st line: Deadly Arts: Mug , Revealed Training , Executioner

( Optional: Dagger Training as the first trait for a little more DPS on the cost of self-heal )

2nd line: Critical Strikes: Flawless Strike , Practiced Tolerance , No Quarter

3rd line: Trickery : Flanking Strikes , Trickster , Sleight of Hand

    Utility Skills

    thiefskills.png

Healing Skill (6): Signet of malice

Open Utility Skills (7,8,9): Haste, Signet of Agility, Assassin's Signet (Situationally: Shadow Refuge / Smoke Screen (if you need stealth))

Elite Skill: Basilisk Venom (for crowd control) or Dagger storm (for reflecting projectiles)

    Food & Consumables

[Seaweed Salad] (+10 % Damage while moving)

[Superior Sharpening Stone] (+Power equal of 6 % of your Toughness, +Power equal of 4 % of your Vitality)

    Practice

Basic Skill rotation: When the enemy is at 100 - 25 % of health use Cloak and Dagger (5) and Back Stab (1 in stealth) afterwards, then wait for your revealed buff to run out, and repeat. Otherwise just keep auto-attacking (1). When enemy falls under 25 % of health, spam Heartseeker (2).

Steal (F1) restores 2 initiative and doesn't interrupt your rotation, so use it to refill your initiative. There are a couple of stolen skills that increase your dps, and you want to actually use after getting them: Whirling Axe (stolen for ex. from warriors), Throw Gunk (stolen for ex. from engineers). Blinding Tuft (stolen for ex. from thieves) gives you a free stealth for an extra Back Stab (1). Some stolen skills give you crowd control effects (fear etc.), which are useful for breaking defiant bars. The damaging stolen skills not mentioned here are basically damage loss if you use them in the rotation.

Basilisk Venom (Elite) is a very strong CC, since it's shared with 4 other people. Your steal also dazes for a short while, so it can help you CC a bit. Don't forget the stolen skills!

Attributes (if you want to compare yours for example)

    akkefullascended.png

This is what your Attributes should look like with full Ascended Berserker's gear.

  4. I will do one of those compilations with each and every one of my characters at some point, but for now let's just focus on the guy that gives me my TS/Forum name & Avatar picture ((c) Atila). Guardian Susimusta.

    guardpose.png.4cf83184e748a057a734d9003e

Here he is, with my legendary GS Eternity. I like mixing and matching when it comes to armor, and my main is definitely not an exception to that. He has Human T3 Cultural shoulders and legs, Heritage boots (from playing gw1, hall of monuments stuff), Braham's gloves (Gemstore), Primeval Chestpiece (Gemstore) and Phalanx helmet (Gemstore), Backpiece is the Light of Dwayna. All in all I'm very happy with the way he looks! The current dye scheme he has is to compliment the Flame Seeker's Prophecies -shield I crafted a while ago.

    guardjugge.png.64644672060d490a020b5d1a656b094ae76bb2_guardlameseeker.png.2971cf

Juggernaut was in fact the first legendary I made for him (left picture). I always liked playing him as support guardian. It took me a while to start liking the Juggernaut itself (effect aside), I thought it looked clunky. After the pain and sweat of Silver Doubloons though, you can't really not-love it. I also really like the new draw animation they added on Flameseeker (right picture).

    guardspin.png.1e39f10156a4ab1235a8977fa1

Yes, when you use the spin with Eternity (skill 2 on Guardian's GS), he throws Twilights and Sunrises. :D

And last but not last. You'll very rarely see my guardian without his helmet, because of the simple fact that I like the look on him with it on so much. So now the rare opportunity to see what actually is under that piece of metal. He had a turquoise hair and beard for a long time, but since his name means literally "wolf black" I thought it was time to give him a more fitting haircut.

    There we go. :)

  5. Welcome to the Forums Dan! :) From what I've had the chance to talk with you, I've noticed that you're indeed very easy to get along with and generally very positive. That's the kind of spirit we're always happy to have in the OpenCommunity (Slaaay, dids I correctly write dat now?), so keep it up. Hope to keep seeing you around on TS and events. ^^

  6. Susi gives Soar, a fellow 'Global Moderator', a warm welcome to the Forums. Susi thinks Soar has a lovely accent and she would like to see pictures of the smart doggies Soar has. Susi hopes for a lot of fun times and heated up discussions about important things and new viewpoints from Soar. And omg that's an annoying way to write. :D I have to put way too much thinking to it. Anyway, keep having the attitude of not being afraid to open your mouth when you have a different opinion, that's something I appreciate a lot. ;3

  7. Welcome to the Forums and to the  road of becoming a commander Arvinthir! :) And haha, I indeed same that same love-hate -relationship with sleep; I think it was Sabina who said this: "My bed can't live without me" -which I suppose is the feeling most of us share in the morning when the pillow feels extra soft and you're supposed to get up.

  8. Welcome to the Forums Promith! :) Hope you enjoy your time here. Also I should come and mingle and get  to know TkT people a bit better too, I am too rooted down to the SOUL and DV channels sometimes. ;p Anyway, hope to see you on events and Teamspeak! ^^

  9. Welcome to the Forums Declan! ;3 (I was instructed it's written OpenCommunity btw.. :D) A fresh Shiny Commander that has learned a lot about the leading and organizing in a short period of  time, and now only the sky is the limit! Keep aiming high Dec. ^^

  10. Hello Slay and welcome to The Forums! ;D I'm happy to have a fellow Finn around, so that my sometimes a bit melancholic attitude towards things doesn't  seem so out of place. Despite being a Finn though, you're awesome! *grin* My wurm-mentor from the times before time existed.

  11. Creepy old lady with a knife. I believe I encountered her in Gendarran Fields. She was probably bugged from defending in an event with the pirates attacking the farm. My revenant is going "What do you have there behind your back..?" :Dgw062.thumb.jpg.3f838e755fb716d0f71807f4

  12. Wintersday Ice cream dish! Me and two friends transformed as snowballs (I'm the green one in the middle). The Poly-luminescent gems you can buy from Trading post actually change the color of the snowball too. So we had a Vanilla Ice Cream -ball, a Pear Ice Cream -ball and a Mango Ice Cream -ball. ^^gw041.thumb.jpg.b187e35e82023207fb39f2e0

And remember kids, don't eat yellow snow..

  13. Finland. The winter wonderland. Winter is definitely my most favorite season. A couple of weeks ago the minus-degrees went to as low as -27, so what better time than that to take my camera out for a little photo session. I live near a lake and in the middle of fields and forest, however only a 15 minute drive from a fairly big city.

    MuokattuGoldilocks.thumb.jpg.0d4ca57989d

As Finns we're never too far away from a lake (as you may know, Finland is also called the "land of thousands of lakes").

The lake nearby is definitely the most beautiful at sunset. These pictures are from last June (2015).

Hope you enjoyed the little tour. :3 I'm looking forward to seeing your world!!

(All the pictures in the post are taken by me, used only on my permission. Thaaanks. <3 Most of them and more are also on my deviantart if you wanna check them out http://skyscraper-creep.deviantart.com/ (c) Susimusta)

  14. For now I think I will just stick to what I've drawn/painted myself (sorry for the crappy quality of the first 2), but I might me looking for images and crediting their makers in the future too. (Maybe we'll even have a community artsy contest type of a thing. ;)) Aaanyway, I have painted a few myself so let's start this off with them. :) I'd be more than happy to see pictures you've made too!

My first ever attempt to paint a Sylvari! She could be better but for a first try I think she turned out quite nice. ^^ 2016. (c) Susimusta.

  15. Ok, so I might've gone a bit nuts with these. Essentially  they are called "lucky stars" and are folded from a strip of paper. *mumbles and finds the guide* http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-lucky-star.html < here, for example. Or just google "Lucky star guide" and pick one of your liking.

What you need is just an A4 (or bigger) sized paper, preferably the normal printing thickness or a bit thinner, because thick paper is more difficult to fold. You can cut a gazillion strips from a single piece of A4 paper and these look awesome in color. I myself bought a packet of colorful papers from the Lidl nearby (I know that exists in many countries), but as said, just normal printing paper works too.

Don't worry, if you're not used to doing that much paper folding, the first one (probably second and third too) don't end up being the perfect stars, but you'll get a handle of it pretty fast. I also understand that for some people stuff like this might be rather nerve-wrecking instead of relaxing, but for me it's the latter. ^^

SO! Basically after folding them, I'll arm myself with a black marker (I have a Roller Ball pen, but any small-tipped black marker should work), and a white gel pen. First I draw two of -what looks kind of like the number "6" with the bottom blackened- next to each other, on both sides of the star.

    luckystareyes.jpg.afed476f6eaa6b7bd7a7d6 Like this.

Then just fill in the top with the white. Result is a MARIOOO STAAARRRrrrrsss!

    staaaars.jpg.b04c011f7478760b27115dab2e9

I don't know what I'll do with them yet, probably fill a jar with them or something. Nevertheless, they're really fun to make! You can also try using glitter paper or adding a little shiny dust on them after folding or something, the sky is the limit with stars! :3

  16. Commander / Server Moderator (M) / Guild leader of [SOUL] Susimusta here, hey! *waves*

24 year old yet-to-finish-her-thesis Uni student with a pending Bachelors' degree in social services + kindergarten teacher-ness. A proud (sometimes not so proud) Finn. If you've ever had the misfortune to encounter me on Teamspeak, you know that I really really really like talking - runs in my family. Expressing myself in the ways of creativity -- drawing, painting, jewelry crafting, paper crafts, stories, poems .. (depends on what I have the mood to do), is also very close to my heart.

The OpenCommunity has given me a home and I will stand and protect it to stay as tolerant, warm and welcoming as it is for me. You can come and talk to me about anything! :) <3
